The course aims at
- Connecting the people of Delhi to the College which has been for over a century an integral part of the intellectual culture of the City.
- To promote a culture of lifelong learning so that learning does not stop with acquisition of degrees.
- To couple the invaluable resources available with the collegethrough the distinguished alumni and facultywith the unmet intellectual aspirations of the citizens of Delhi.
“It is the citizen’s duty to make informed choices. How do you do that if you don’t understand the issues?” asks St. Stephen’s Principal, Revd. Dr. Valson Thampu.
“This course will cater to a minimum level of growth, not the highest level but all around growth. It will include elements of history, economics, law, sociology, management, political science, culture studies, current affairs, science and philosophy.”
“We want to serve the metropolis by sharing its academic resources with its citizens. Our effort will be to help in creating an ambience that’s culturally rich, intellectually vibrant, sensitive and caring,” says Principal explaining his reasons for launching this programme. There must be a change in attitude.
